Yes I would love to sail the world looking at and drawing all the animals I could find! That’s like my dream job! I think what I get to do comes pretty close to a modern version of that to be fair.

Hi @Prof. Christon, I would consider being a naturalist like Charles Darwin, and I would love to have been there and joined him when he was making his discoveries and developing his theories all those years ago! I think nowadays, being a naturalist, such as a zoologist, involves a lot of research on how species will survive on our changing planet.

      Hello,

Charles Darwin is a hero of mine – I would love to travel the world and study lots of different animals and habitats.

However, if there’s one thing I’ve learnt in life, it’s this:

While you may do one thing for a job, it doesn’t mean that you cannot enjoy your other interests alongside your work. I love what I do in archaeology, but often go to the Museum of Zoology in Cambridge where I work – and to different gardens, parks and zoos to check out animals. I also get to travel the world doing my work, since I have to go to museums in different countries. In a way, my life is similar to Charles Darwin’s – he did a lot of work in labs and wrote down his findings for other people. The most important thing is that you find something you love as a job – but you also enjoy life outside your work too. 🙂

      Michael
