• Question: why is whales appearing on skegness beach?

      Hey!

      So it is unusual for that to happen but lots of whales have been washing up on beaches along the coast from the North Sea this year.

      There were some scientists who looked at the bodies to see why they died. Whales swim long distances to find food and if they take a wrong turn then they can spend a lot of energy getting lost. If they get lost in a place where there isn’t enough food or the water isn’t deep enough then they can die. Sadly this happened to lots of whales this year from different groups of whales. Luckily they normally go the right way!!
