• Question: why are some things addictive and some things aren't

      Hey!

      I am not really sure, but I think I can explain!

      Your body needs some things to keep it working. There are some things that make it work better! I think sugar is addictive, but we need sugar to give us energy and make us work. If you have too much sugar, your body gets used to having lots of sugar, and it needs more and more to work!

      If you let your body think you need things that you don’t, then you can become addicted. Your body doesn’t need drugs, but people who use them get used to how they make you feel, and then they become addicted and can’t stop wanting that feeling! Some things dont make your body work better, for example, people don’t get addicted to eating apples, as having too many apples doesn’t make you feel better or do anything better!
      I think it is good to be addicted to things which make you healthier, and don’t harm you.
