Off the top of my head, my favourite catchphrase has to be “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger”! It reminds me of how animal’s bodies work when they get an infection sometimes – the immune system fights off the invader and is ready to recognise it next time it comes. This is why vaccines are so important!

“Live the life you love, love the life you live”
I think that applies to everything, especially my job and science. If I didn’t love what I did then I wouldn’t be able to come to work every day with such a smile on my face, excited for what was coming up next 🙂

If at first you don’t succeed, try – try – TRY again!

This is very true of science. There is usually an answer to everything.
You might have to work out a difficult sum, or find the answer to a problem that you cant see. But eventually you will find it out!

A phrase I like is “bones don’t lie and don’t forget”.

What this means is that skeletons dug up in archaeological excavations can reveal a lot of information about who people were. From people’s old bones, I can tell what they ate, what they did as a job, and who they were in society. This is different from historical records, where people could lie in their writing, or miss out details. That’s why I think the quote is a particularly good one!
