The first people I ever studied were a Medieval society in Canterbury, which is a city in south-east England. They had a hard life on the farm, getting injuries sometimes during their manual labour and not eating good food all the time. They also suffered from nasty diseases that killed them quite young – ones like tuberculosis and leprosy. The Medieval period was quite an interesting time period!
