The first bones I ever studied belonged to these people who lived in the Medieval period around 1000 years ago. They lived in Canterbury, a city in south-east England, and had a very hard life! Their bones showed signs of lots of hard manual labour during their time working on farms. They also suffered from a lot of different and horrible diseases, and had signs of many battle injuries from when they went to war! This is why I always think the Medieval period is the coolest time in history!
