I am actually doing a little visit outside of England at the moment to a country in East Europe called ‘Estonia’.

In Estonia, I am looking at these people who lived in the Iron Age – when people first started to make weapons and tools out of iron and steel.

In their bones, I am finding a lot of signs of hard labour – they were working very hard physically and their arms and legs are especially strong and robust. Their bones are simply thicker! I can’t wait to go back to Cambridge where I normally work and write about it for other archaeologists to read!

      Michael 🙂
