Question: do you ever feel like you are going to mess up and harm the annimal and or kill it

That’s a good and scary question! Of course, when we are doing difficult surgery, there is always a worry that something might go wrong. I think every vet probably worries about this a little bit. However, because we train very well, and practice what we do, it is less likely that something will go wrong. We also work as a team, with vet nurses and other vets, so together we use our skills to make everything we do as safe as possible for our animal patients. Sometimes, difficulties will happen, and animals won’t respond in the way you want them to with treatment or surgery. The most important thing then is to be calm and know what to do when things go wrong – then you have the best chance of making them right!
