      The place with the highest natural levels of radiation in the world is a place called Ramsar in Iran. It has naturally high levels of a radioactive gas called Radon. People who live there get 100 times more background radiation than we do in UK!

      The most man-made radioactive place I’ve ever been to was Chernobyl. It’s where there was a huge explosion in a nuclear power plant 30 years ago. The area was totally evacuated, so people had to leave their homes, with only 30 minutes to pack up and leave. Even now, 30 years on, people still don’t live there, but you can go in and visit. If you’ve played the game Call of Duty then the abandoned town of Prypiat is the one where all the nuclear power station workers lived and were evacuated from. Everything is still how they left it 30 years ago. Very creepy!
