• Question: Why do animals wash up on the sea bed?

      Hey!

      Good question! We see lots of animals get washed up on the beach because when they die they float and get pushed by the sea towards the land. They might die for a variety of reasons, maybe they couldn’t find food, got hit by a boat or got too old! There are scientists who look at the animals that wash up to find out what happened. Especially if they are whales as it is unusual to get lots of them. This year lots of whales washed up from the North Sea on the East coast of England and they think they took the wrong turn from the normal way that they go and got lost!!
