In humans, this has to be the pelvis. It’s a weird bowl shape, with two massive sockets where your legs fit into them. It holds all our body weight and our vital organs inside, but it is a very weird shape! It isn’t long, or short, or flat – just irregular-looking!

I agree with @Michael – the pelvis can be a pretty odd-looking thing!

I think the most unusual bones have to be the tiny bones, called the ossicles, that we have in our inner ear, that work together to help noise vibrations on their journey from our ear to the brain where we can recognise them as sounds!

I’ve been asked about what the ‘funny bone’ is, as that is what I would say was the most unusual bone in the body.
But it’s not a bone! We just say it is because of the funny feeling when we hit our elbow. The funny feeling is the Ulnar nerve, which senses when it is hit, and what you feel in your little finger and the one next to it!
      I learnt something today!

So yeah I think the funny bone is unusual as it isn’t really a bone!
