      Hey!

So for me I had to do science at school until I was 16. I learnt about loads of different things and some of it I found really interesting and wanted to know more!
You can then decide to stay at school for another two years and study a subject more and more. I picked geography, biology (a part of science), sports and French!

After those two years I decided I wanted to go to university and learn more about geography. You learn more about the world and how it works. I learnt about the weather, and volcanoes and earthquakes, and how the land changes. This meant I had to remember lots of the science and maths from school to understand the world more and more. You can get a qualification called a degree and that takes three years to get and some jobs need a degree.

Some jobs in science don’t need a degree, but mean that you start work straight away and learn as you work.

I needed a degree for my job, and I’m doing another degree in coastal science that will make me a ‘master of science’ and I am very nearly finished!!!

There are lots of different qualifications that you can get, it depends on the job that you want to do and if you need to learn lots.

      Hope that helps!

      Lauren 🙂
