      Hello Belle14

I think it is brilliant that you love maths already. I did maths all the way up to when I was 16 for GCSE’s but then I stopped, and it was my biggest regret not learning about it for longer. When you are at school, maths can be quite tough to learn, but I think it is one of the most important subjects.
Now, for my job- maths is very important! We use maths to create equations to solve lots of problems. I am currently studying for a Masters degree in coastal science and engineering, and I would say that half of that is maths and physics, and the other half is about the science of the environment.
I really enjoyed maths at school, and was good at it and I really don’t know why I didn’t keep going! I think it was because my friends didn’t do that. Now I know that was silly and that I should have picked maths because I enjoyed it!
Learning maths for longer opens up more career doors for you in the future, especially in science and engineering. I really hope that you keep going with it, and if you ever find anything hard, ask a teacher to explain it more and never give up!

      Lauren 😀
