• Question: how long would it take for the whole of the uks coast to erode?

      Hey!

      Good question- something that we are trying to understand! Luckily it will not happen, we make sure we put walls up to stop the coast eroding in some places. Where we cant do that, sometimes the coast can erode 10 meters EVERY YEAR! so I’d say it wouldn’t be for 100’s of years until the UK was gone.

      Another thing is that sea levels are rising because of climate change, so the water rises up and floods areas where the land is low, so this could mean that the UK gets smaller! This is another thing that we are trying to stop from happening.
