      Hi @JA123!

So- the reason that I went to Iceland was to do some science!
Because it is very very cold in Iceland, the snow layers up to make massive things called glaciers- which are really big areas of ice on mountains (they sometimes cover half the mountain!).

We looked at how the glaciers grow bigger over time if it is cold (and snowy) enough, and get smaller over time if the weather is warmer. Glaciers are so big that when they move they can push rocks the size of a car and bigger down the mountain! We used the location of these big boulders to show how big the glacier used to be.

I would like to travel more of the world to do science. There are people doing the same job as me all around the world, because there are beaches around the world- and people love to build houses and live by the sea!

      Lauren 😀
