      Hi Bradley,

I do not believe that God created humans – humans evolved from ancient species of animal called ‘hominins’. These were ape-like creatures that are different from humans, but also different from gorillas, chimpanzees and monkeys. They were really another animal that died out before humans came into existence.

There is a wealth of archaeological evidence for our evolution from an ape-like animal, beginning around 6 million years ago. You can clearly see in their fossils the first evidence for walking on two legs, for using stone tools and fire to take care of their food, and to develop large brains that help us to speak to each other and do a lot of things in our modern times. I have many friends who do this branch of archaeology and look at these creatures that are the predecessors that led to human beings.

Now… if indeed there is a God who created humans, I believe that other people who are religious and believe in a God consider God to be something that is ultimately not created by another thing. God simply existed and has always existed and nothing ‘made’ God.

If that does not really make sense, this is probably because God is not something to be understood – God is to be believed in, and somebody you hold faith in.

I hope that helps answer your question!

      Michael 🙂

      Hey!

Some scientists find it hard to believe in God because many things can be explained with science. I think that every person needs someone or something to believe in when science can’t explain something. For some people that is God, and God does not need a creator!

      Hope that helps!!
